Honor
We have been talking quite a bit about honor lately. Honor in relationships, especially in our family. The working definition we have been using come from a wonderful parenting resource: Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes in You and Your Kids by Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller.
Honor: Treating others as special. Doing more than what is expected. Having a good attitude.
One morning this week Calvin woke up, and before he even came downstairs, he got dressed, made up both bunk beds, and was planning to make up my bed (I had already done it). That night I asked him to set the table and he folded all of our napkins like boats and drew a heart on mine for an extra special surprise.
