Childhood Imaginations

Calvin has been doing a fair share of pretending lately. Today it was pretending to be a deer (hence the antlers). He informed us that deer do not eat with a fork, or even their "hands," but with their mouths. We decided to let him pretend and eat his snack out of a bowl, with his mouth, on the floor. He ate every one of those Cheerios and raisins just like this.

Brothers

Hard to believe I have two boys now, and especially hard to believe that Calvin is almost 3!

2 months old

Isaac went for his 2 month checkup last week. He is now 10 lbs, 8 ozs and 22 3/4 inches. He is starting to grasp toys that we hand him, and he is putting his fingers or his whole fist in his mouth.

Calvin

Calvin loves to "try on" everything, try everything, and know everything about everything. We are definitely in the why stage, and not just "why do I have to do ..." but why is that person driving their car? Why is that bird flying away? Why are you eating? Why is Isaac crying? Why do we wash things? Why do the leaves fall off of the trees? It just goes on and on and on.

This is an example of "try on" everything. These were in the beach bag and he had to wear them :)

Paci Protection

Isaac is guarding the paci even in his sleep. He is starting to try to put the paci back in when it falls out. He will root around try to get it back in his mouth, and try to push it back in with his little hands flailing around - sometimes his efforts succeed :)

Laundry Basket Fun

Here are my little guys, Isaac in the laundry basket and Calvin playing with him. I love these moments - they just bring a smile even when the day is crazy.

Camping in NC

Here are some shots of our camping trip this past weekend. We went with some friends Clint knows from the office, The Verdirames. Calvin and William had a grand time playing together.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers in our lives.  Pop, Grandpa, Pop Dearmin, Uncle Herb, and most of all the wonderful father in our little family - Clint.  Thanks for being such wonderful men, wonderful fathers to us, and such good examples of what godly men should be.  God has blessed us richly and we are truly grateful.  Have a wonderful Father's Day.

Mommy and Boys

We are having a good time with Nana and Grandpa. I have more time to spend playing with Isaac and Calvin because I am not worrying about the housework or laundry. This is a shot that Nana took while we were playing together this morning. Calvin and Mommy still in our pajamas and loving it.

Isaac on Vacation

Vacation for this little guy means almost never being put down. He was giving out smiles and being the resident snuggle bug.

Diana's Wedding

Clint's sister Diana was married this past Saturday in Panama City, FL. These are some shots of the reception. (TOP) Diana and Clint, (MIDDLE) Calvin, the Groom's father, and the Groom's grandmother. (MIDDLE) CAKE! (BOTTOM) Isaac and Mia. Calvin and Isaac were the starts of the show - after Diana of course! This was a great party and we are so happy for Diana and Kevin.

Laundry Santa?

Calvin wanted to dress up as Santa this morning, then he wanted to help with the laundry... what more could a Mom ask from Santa?

Daddy and Isaac

(TOP) This is one of my favorites so far - this little face, he looks so grown up already and he is only 6 weeks.

(BOTTOM) Looking up at Daddy, so sweet. I hope for many more of these moments to come for both Calvin and Isaac.

Sleeping Children

We have been blessed with two boys who sleep very well. Isaac is now sleeping between 6 and 8 hours every night. Calvin sleeps from about 8PM to 7 AM and still naps about 2 hours almost every day. The world seems much brighter after a good night's sleep.

Mornings with Daddy

Lately, Clint has been getting up with Calvin on the weekends and letting me sleep in a bit. Clint took this picture of our "big boy" eating breakfast. What a mess :) Peanut butter all over the place, a lovely bib and fashionable hat, not to mention the elephant toy on the table. We
love our messy boy!
