Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

The snow began falling around 1:30 PM and has been going ever since. Everything is now covered in at least an inch of white. It looks so beautiful and peaceful. So glad we are home until Sunday morning.

Brothers

Isaac has always loved Calvin. Calvin is a source of entertainment anytime. Now Isaac is old enough to play with Calvin and share in some of the big boy fun. Isaac now looks up to Calvin and will let him help with toys or reaching something. Tonight, Calvin dressed Isaac in his diaper and pajamas with very little help from Mommy. Isaac was happy to let him do it and of course my little helper was so proud :)

Isaac

Our little man is growing up. Here a few of my favorite shots from recent days.

In his "doggie" towel, complete with ears, tail, and little feet. Thank you Nana!

Making dinner. I was cooking and Isaac was hanging out in the kitchen with me. I set the table and Isaac made his contribution. Each person received a sweet potato at their place :)

"Daddy and I"

Clint and Calvin went to the "Daddy and I" night at school tonight. They had a good time together and even had ice cream! Calvin's teachers asked each child ahead of time about their father and what they knew of him. Here are Calvin's answers (in bold):

My dad is 45 years old and has green eyes and brown hair. (Well - 10 years off and Calvin's eyes are green but not Daddy's :))
My dad is most handsome when he wears black and blue.
My dad likes to play Star Wars, and to call me whatever is on my pajamas. (as in space man, or GI JOE)
My dad likes for me to help him fix things like the potty. (see below)
When I am nice, he gives me candy. (I don't think so!)
I like it best when he says I can play Star Wars.
I do not like it when he says I can't do something and I want to do it.
My dad thinks that I am silly, but it depends on what I am doing.
My dad is at work doing work to pay for our house when I am in school.
My dad's favorite color is green. (well, maybe but I don't think so...)
The best thing that my dad does with me is give me presents!

Snow!

We had a bit of snow yesterday. Just enough to cover the sidewalks a bit. Being in ATL of course that meant that schools were closed for half the day as the snow was predicted for the afternoon. We went out to play after a little had accumulated. Calvin made a snowball and threw it at me. He had a great time doing that!
Calvin with his snowball poised to throw and Isaac watching the fun.
Isaac with snow on his hands. He was looking up at us and saying "snow."
When we woke this morning there was another blanket of snow. This one was a bit thicker but very powdery and not good for snowmen :( Calvin and Isaac had fun pushing the truck around and making tracks in the snow. School was closed today too.

Our driveway. Good thing we were not planning to go anywhere - I don't think we could have.

My attempt at getting all three of us in a self-portrait.
another try...

Calvin on a sled borrowed from our neighbors.
He made it to the bottom of the hill.
Isaac getting in on the fun of sledding too. I did try the sled, but no one was available to take my picture - oh well :)

Thank You!

Dear Tracy and Tankut:

Thank you for all of our lovely Christmas gifts. We opened them first thing when we arrived home. As you can see Calvin and Isaac were very pleased. We missed seeing you for Christmas.

Clint, Amy, Calvin, and Isaac

PS - Thank you Mia and Pop for the gift delivery.

Isaac said "Spiderman" as soon as he saw it. We had to get out of the chair and put it on right away.
